Having been a fan of computer and videogame systems since the late 1970's,
I have steadily built up a collection of home computers and consoles
which have either been bought as new or second hand from every retro
collectors favourite place, the car boot sale.
This collection featured mainly run-of-the-mill items until five years
ago when I spotted an upright Outrun machine
for sale in my local newspaper. Since that initial purchase I have started
to become more interested in the collecting of retro video arcade machines
and boards.
Whilst my collection isn't huge, currently consisting of about 20 PCB's,
two cocktail tables, and two uprights, I hope to provide newbie arcade
collectors with all the information and resources they need to make
their collecting as painless and trouble free as possible. I have at
times spent many an hour struggling to find the information or links
I needed, which is why I have decided to set this site up to help out
other collectors by featuring information or linking to sites I have
found the most useful.
If you're planning to get into videogame
collecting, don't have the room to house a complete arcade cabinet in
your home, but still want to play those games you grew up with, you'll
be wanting to visit the JAMMA Supergun section
of the site. Here you can find out where you can order a ready-made
Supergun, or if you're technically minded, you could download the Word
document which details how to make your own.
Perhaps you want to hear what weird
and wonderful things other collectors have got up to, all in the name
of videogame presevation. If so, have a rummage through the Hosted
Articles where you'll find a selection of newspaper and
magazine articles which at the very least will be sure to raise a smile.
On the other hand, maybe you've
been collecting for a while and want to either purchase a new PCB, get
hold of some dipswitch settings, or get something repaired. Point your
browser to the Website Links section where some
of the best arcade websites currently up and running are listed.
What are you waiting for? Get clicking!
Hope you enjoy the site. I'd appreciated
ANY questions or comments so please drop me an email at the address
below.
Kind regards,
Robert Hazelby

My
Collection
Have a nose around some of the items in my collection. Pick
a game or two you're interested in and read all about them.
Only a small fraction of items in my stash are currently listed.
When I get around to it more will be added.
Items
I've Owned
As sad as it seems, there comes a time when you have to part with
items in your collection. Read about some of the games I've had
to sell over the years.
